Alexandra Rose Charity Case Study

Alexandra Rose Charity is on a mission to give families on low incomes access to fresh fruit and vegetables in their local communities.

Brief

Alexandra Rose Charity, in partnership with the London boroughs of Tower Hamlets and Lambeth, launched a Fruit & Veg on Prescription programme, a community prescribing service which offers free vouchers for fruit and veg to support individuals to access a healthy diet. Our PR objectives were to generate accurate and engaging media coverage in publications and sites seen by the organisation’s key audiences.

Our Activity

We worked with the charity’s Chief Executive and senior team to determine a national PR strategy to promote the Rose Vouchers for Fruit & Veg Project in London. These were rolled out across various media outlets and regional, national and international coverage followed.

Results

The project received strong coverage in local, national and international online, broadcast and print press across various different trades. The charity’s Chief Executive was invited to speak on three renowned podcasts and the project was also picked up by prominent TV show Have I Got News For You.

The charity and its partners found PR enormously beneficial, and Alexandra Rose Charity achieved more than they hoped as we raised the profile of both the charity and its work. During, and following, the campaign, Alexandra Rose Charity saw increased donations and received enquiries from potential corporate partners. A new relationship was established with a key government department. Using the campaign as a springboard, the charity later went on to win a prestigious Food Innovation Award at the BBC Food and Farming Awards.

Testimonial

“Altitude were brilliant to work with and provided fantastic support from the planning stages to delivery and post-launch, achieving everything and more that we hoped and helping to raise the profile of our charity and work, not only nationally but internationally too.”
